Banana Bread Blend: Blenderized Tube Feeding Recipe

I really think you're going to love this blenderized tube feeding recipe! I know, I know....classic banana bread isn't particularly healthy (lots of oil and sugar) and certainly isn't a meal. But this is Natural Tube Feeding banana bread! We've made it healthy, balanced and nutritious. Bonus- it smells and tastes fantastic. Just like the real thing!

Blended Diet Recipe for Tube Feeding

We've taken inspiration from regular banana bread ingredients. Of course there's banana (make sure it's nice and ripe!), but the surprise ingredient is actual bread. You can use white bread or whole wheat, whatever you prefer, but make sure to toast it so that it will blend more easily. We're also using eggs for lots of quality protein, but this can be substituted for 1/4 cup of firm tofu for a vegan protein alternative. There's also a touch of vanilla and melted butter (you can use any oil you like if you prefer) to create that decadent banana bread aroma.

You shouldn't need an expensive high powered blender to make this recipe. The only hard ingredient is the walnuts which provide a source of plant-based omega 3 fats and extra protein and fibre. Walnuts are actually a relatively soft nut and blend quite easily. Make sure you run your blender long enough to blend everything really well. If you're concerned that there may be lumps of food in the blend, you can strain it as needed.
